I went to the hospital Saturday I thought I was like only 8 weeks pregnant... but the doctor said I'm not just a little pregnant I'm really pregnant.I wanted to ask him what he met by that didn't see him again before I was discharged... Has anyone else been told this?

Interesting that you weren't given more information. Did you have an ultrasound? Was there a pelvic exam done, or palpation of your uterus? Do you know what the doctor based his statement on?

Have you been to an obstetrician or midwife yet? How were you determine that you are 8 weeks along?

If you haven't been to an OB or midwife yet, they will be able to give you a more accurate determination after you have an exam.

Sometimes women will go by the last bleeding that they had, not realizing that it may have been early pregnancy bleeding and not a period... which will put them further along than they had thought.

First, why did you go to the hospital? What did you have done there.

If you went to the ER, they are not experts at these things and you need to see your personal doctor. If your doctor had you there for tests, then what doctor talked to you?

Why do you think 8 weeks? When was your last monthly cycle?

Why did you go to the hospital, and NOT your primary physician?
