Hi I really need some opinions right now. My last period starts May 4 2015 and I have a regular period. It lasted about 5 days. My partner and I have unprotected sex days after my period. We've done the pull out method. This happened twice. This 2nd week of June I've got this yeast infection for the first time. During the said infection, I spotted a very very light bleeding just for two days. Maybe it is caused by the infection. The infection lasted about 1 week and 2 days. After I recovered from the infection, it is the due date for my next period to start but it never came. I was a week late already when suddenly got light cramps last June 20, I also got a headache the next morning but doesn't last. In that week, I feel changes in my body, I feel bloated, craving for salty food, feeling uncomfortable especially at bedtimes. I sometimes feel I was about to throw up but not really often. I also feel more hungrier and thirsty than usual. I feel I need to pee every midnight or early in the morning which disturbs me from being asleep. I feel also my breasts became fuller and a bit painful to touch.I never done any Pregnancy test yet. But this June 25 I got unusual bleeding. This bleeding was light and on and off. It is brownish red. Sometimes it is red like fresh blood but turns to brown again. I was thinking maybe it is my period because I am currently for 7 days now. But it's just weird. It is a very light to medium bleeding and can't even full any pads just for 1 day. Sometimes I have light crampings just for a minute during the bleeding. Now I am still waiting for when this bleeding stops. Is this bleeding possibly my period?

You could try a pregnancy test. It may just be that your cycle is off, but it would be wise to check for pregnancy to know one way or the other.

Periods can be off for many reasons, and illness is definitely one of them. A yeast infection is an infection and can throw your cycle off.

Brown blood usually indicates old blood, blood that's left in your body. It could just be that you're having an off month.

Try a pregnancy test using first morning urine. If that test is negative, wait and see what happens with your next period. If you miss that period as well, then test again or get a blood test at your doctors office.

On a side note, if you're not wanting to get pregnant the pull out method is not a reliable form of birth control. There are plenty of sperm in the fluids that make his penis slippery enough to enter your vagina, to get you pregnant. The pull out method is another way of saying "we're trying to get pregnant".

At the very least you should be using a condom. Condom and birth control pill is better. Even then pregnancy is still possible. It's possible any time you have sex. But the pull out method, well, it's just a matter of time. It's not if it will happen, it's when.

Good luck.

Why have you not done a pregnancy test, we could guess, but your guess is as good as ours. It may be an off period, or it may be pregnancy.

Test in the morning, as soon as you wake up
