Hi ,
I have not had my periods since 23rd May-and have been prescribed Meprate twice daily for 7 days.

Is it safe to have sex and Trying to conceive while on Meprate? Will it cause any abnormalities to the foetus, if I conceive?

I have also been prescribed Duphaston and Ovofar, as I have PCOS and we are trying to conceive now.

Thanks.

From a quick check of what Meprate does I would have NO worries about pregnancy and taking Meprate. Your doctor, since you have PCOS and probably irregular periods, is trying to get your cycle to a predictable and regular state. That is what the Meprate is supposed to do in this case I Think, reprogram your cycle to a monthly time frame. That with the medicine you're taking for your PCOS, you should be ovulating while producing a uterine lining that can support a pregnancy.

So, you shouldn't be concerned, there is nothing wrong. Your doctor is trying to get you as fertile as possible so that you can conceive as quickly and reliably as possible. Please understand that this won't happen right away, it could take months for you to become pregnant. Don't get disheartened and continue trying.

Good luck!
