At my last wedding, if not in a dress shirt and tie, ( a jacket would have been better) you would have looked out of place, The wedding was at the best private club in the city, the bridal dress cost over 10,000 dollars, so honestly before you give advice, the OP needs to tell us what type of wedding, and more.
