Bought a 65' TV Today and was wondering if I need a stand? It will look pretty cheesy if I don't have one but should I spend more money to get one? You should be able to look at a TV at a higher angle right?

What do you have it on now? It should not sit directly on the floor. And yes, it would be better to be above eyelevel. You might want to investigate wall mounting.

My 55" has been on the floor for several years. I have so many windows that I can't put it put it off the floor. I'm not going to block the view, and the downward angle from my eyes to the center of the TV is miniscule. I love it.

(If children will be around one on furniture, bolt it down! They have been killed, even by flat screens. And no bureaus with drawers to climb either.)
