I bought a house using a quit claim deed. I just found out that the person who sold me the house forged my name on another quit claim deed deeding the house back to herself. What is my recourse - criminal or civil

You do both, you file a law suit for quiet title or similar motion using your courts terms. But it is basically a motion to clear any claim to the property from any other deed, title or lien on the property. You need to file it ASAP, as it will stop them from getting a loanor lien on the property until this is cleared up.

And you call and report this to the Police/ DA so they can be charged with forgery and theft.
