Keep it real! How old are you and how long before you can interact in person. Why are you even calling this "dating"?

How much do you really KNOW about each others lives? How do you even know if words and action even match if all you have is a computer between you?

Distance is difficult for couples that know each other in person and are committed and have a plan, so its really hard for two strangers who have never met. What I mean about keeping it real, is don't make this a bigger thing than what it is, two people getting to know each other with many obstacles and restrictions to overcome in the process. The danger is building an emotional fantasy world built on feelings and not facts and labeling this as "dating" is the start of that unrealistic fantasy easily shattered by reality.

True dating is having fun getting to know each other, and takes time and interactions and a lot more than just TALKING. So keep it real while you are JUST talking regularly and see if the talking leads to a good path forward. Keeping it real means NOT making this online thing a major part of your life at this time.

You want to keep sympathy alive, then don't destroy it with fantasy thinking, and unreal expectation. When do you plan to meet in person? Now that would be a DATE! Until then keep it real, and live in REALITY.
