I have been on birth control for 7 or 8 months now. Last month I was not very good about taking it and skipped a few days throughout the month, and also the two days before my period started. I never made those two days up because my period started earlier. I had unprotected sex 3 times on the last day but was not bleeding anymore. This was 4 days ago. Yesterday I had a brown discharge and today I am bleeding again. I forgot to pick up my next pack of birth control so I have not taken it since last month. Is bleeding and brown discharge normal?

Brown discharge is old blood. The bleeding is probably still your period. You've horribly confused your system I believe. You're also playing a very dangerous game here by not taking your birthcontrol on time and consistently. In order for the pill to work you should take at the same time of day, EVERY day. It puts a constant level of hormone in your system and that's important for it to work right. By missing days and stretches you're not getting the level necessary to prevent pregnancy. You should get your pack and start it right away. It might also be worth it to talk to your doctor for a birthcontrol method that doesn't require you to take a pill. Depo, Implanon, IUD, Nuvaring, to name a few. As well for this month I would recommend using a secondary form of birthcontrol, i.e. condoms.

Agreed, by missing so much, it makes the birth control very ineffective. Even going into the new month. Also pregnancy is possible even if you take it perfectly, if you can not remember, you need to find a new method

When you have sex there's a chance of pregnancy regardless of what you're doing to prevent it. You're just reducing the odds by using birthcontrol. There are several people here who've gotten pregnant after properly using 2+ forms of birthcontrol.
There is a chance you're pregnant, but you're going ot have to wait until your next period to know for sure. IF you miss it by at least two weeks then there's a good chance you're pregnant, at that point take a home pregnancy test using the first urine of the morning.
Good luck.

There is always a chance of pregnancy when you have sex. While it's VERY important to use birth control properly, it only lessens the chances of pregnancy, but cannot eliminate it.
