Hi, I am really really confused and it's getting quite distressing now, I'm a mess. I have had three positive pregnancy tests and three negative pregnancy tests, am I pregnant or not? I don't know what to think, one minute I'm pregnant the next I'm not, please someone give me some advise, I'm so confused

Tell us more about the tests. Are you doing them and when? When was your last period?

What does your own medical practitioner have to say about this ?

My first test was a home test- positive, done first thing in the morning the second a home test- negative, done in the evening third test done at doctors- positive, done mid morning, the forth done later that day negative, the fith done in the morning positive and the sixth done a little bit after that negative. I had a period last month, around the 16th, was very very faint and only lasted two days. I've been being sick a lot, but I tend to be sometimes anyway due to my anxiety, but I have had acne bad recently and breast pains

The doctors don't really know either yet, I think if I am I'm very early on, but I need to know, it's so confusing

The most reliable tests are done in the morning. If I were you, I'd consider myself pregnant until I found out otherwise. That means good nutrition/prenatal vitamins, no smoking and drugs, and regular exercise/activity. And check again with your doctor.

If you had a couple of positive results, that were read within the time frame stated on the test, you are likely pregnant. Very rarely will you come across a faulty test. Testing in the morning is preferred... if you test later in the day, you would just want to be sure not to have much fluid intake for awhile before the test or to have urinated for awhile... hence why first thing in the morning tests are easier.

As Wondergirl said, treat yourself as though you are pregnant until your doctor confirms with either a blood test or an ultrasound. Did your doctor set up a follow up visit?
