View Full Version : Why would my water have no pressure after I turned the water back on to my house

We live in a manufactured home. We had a dripping hose bib, so I shut off the water at the meter. I then cut the pvc pipe to the hose bib to add a shut off valve. The water never seemed to turn completely off. I opened up everything in the house to release the pressure and drain the line. I went out to where I was going to install the shut off valve and it still had a lot of water coming out. The water was super hot. I was able to get the valve on the pipe, waited a while and turned the water back on to the house. Ever since I turned the water back on to the house, the water comes on, and slowly loses pressure down to almost nothing. It is happening in every sink, tub and faucet. Is there something I'm missing? Why is there no pressure? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Close the main shutoff again and then reopen until fully open... See if that helps. If that fails to resolve the issue, check for pressure/flow at the outside faucet and at the drain of the water heater... report back with results and we'll see what we think, OK?

Also, remove the aerators from your faucets and clean them.
