I'm happy with this guy and he makes all my worries go away and I always miss him, but I have exams coming up and I would rather be with him. Can I do both has that worked for someone, or will it be okay if I do every other day as long I stick too it like I said would rather be with him?

Your exams are more important than a guy you thinks makes all our troubles go away. How old are you?

16 but he does make me happy, and I know exams are important but can't stop thinking about him

Your studies are way more important. Talk to him on the phone an allotted amount of time and get your studying done.
This happiness won't pass a test for you, your studying will.
How long have you two dated? This sounds like a fresh crush

Yeah, it is fresh. That is what this I can' go without seeing him stuff is about. Study for your exams he will be there when they are done.
It's called maturity.

Don't worry.. you are 16... in a few more years what you want and like in a guy will be VERY different. Don't let this negatively affect your school work at all. How well you do in school now will effect the rest of your life... he on the other hand will almost certainly be a memory in a few more. I don't know ANYONE that is still together since high school....the only ones I did, got divorced a number of years ago.

Homegirl 50 is spot on with all of that.

You can have fun, but its WAY too easy to get too involved, Watch your friends... you will see it happen with some of them. You probably have already seen it with some. I'm a guy and I can tell you I could have done better in both high school AND college, but I got distract by females in my case... that have had ZERO part of my life since I graduated College. The lower grades even though they were still good, weren't good enough to get me the job interviews for the really well paying jobs I wanted most at the time. Which paid over twice what the one I did get. I'm telling you this personal story because it appears you really listen and haven't made your mind up yet. And hopefully its one that resonates.

Thank you, and I'm going to try hard in my grades as they are more important, I need to put that first thank you for helping me make my mind up.

First and foremost, you should be study some every day, so when it is time for testing, you are not worried and really have no reason to do a lot of extra study. ** A hard concept but one I have used.

My example, I just finished my BS degree in 2012 with a 3.77grade point average, and I never spent more than 1 hour prep for a test, I did regular and normal study every day. I finish my Masters in June, with a current 3.88 GPA and have done the same. If you put effort into study daily, the tests come easy
