What can be done, for extremely dry skin, on my husbands legs? He has tried baby oil, but that isn't helping. His legs are sore, and red, with a rash.

Dry skin is caused by many factors, such as the weather, central heating and air conditioning, bathing with hot water or harsh soaps and detergents. Other factors include psoriasis, eczema or dehydration.

If your husband has dry skin, I recommend that he use a thick moisturizer, such as Eucerin on moist skin. Oily moisturizers also work well for people with dry skin.
