A famous actor plays the lead malerole. I thought it was Anthony Hopkins. But as I can not find it with him-it could therefore be some one else. He discovers his wife is having a secret sexual affair so he visits the much younger man's flat. There he enters and introduces himself as the husband of the woman the man is seeing. Also whilst talking he finds an object which he had given as a birthday present which she had given away to her secret lover. He then beats the man to death (Gory, bloody scene,-blood pouring down the face before he drops to the flat floor) with the present and then removes the body from the flat. He then discovers the telephone answering machine has a message from his wife telling the dead lover that she can no longer cope with her betrayal as she has really discovered that she really loves her husband. So she never wants to see the lover again. The murderer wraps the body in a carpet. Cleans the flat and carries the body to the elevator which jams and breaks down. So he pushes the body through the escape hatch before getting it to his car boot. It is raining and broad daylight when he carries the carpet wrapped body to the boot. Someone sees him struggling and offers to help. But his kind offer is hastily refused. Again the offer is offeedr but again rebuffed. I cannot remember any more. What is the title please. TY
