Hello,

I am in H1B and my wife in H4.

I have applied for ITIN in the month of February and now 6 weeks got over. When I enquired IRS they have told that they are not having my wife records in their system and they are asking me the reapply.

If I reapply again then it is going to take another 6 weeks. Also I have heard that Apr 17th is last date for Tax filing. So please let me know how can I file the tax without ITIN?

Thanks

You needed to submit the ITIN application (Form W-7) WITH your tax return. Do so now, sending the W-7, notarized passport copy, and tax return to the ITIN Processing Center in Austin, TX (address in W-7 instructions).
