What would cause water to fill from the drain of a kitchen sink in 4th floor apart?

There is a blockage below your KS drain and your KS drain must connect with the other unit(s) above. This could potentially cause a flood in your home so should be resolved ASAP. To resolve this the drain line will need to be snaked clear.
