I need to reset my bios password on my laptop because windows will not open without one. Where is the cmos jumper on a toshiba mb255 mini laptop? The cmos battery is soldered on the mother board so that would be difficult to remove. If it doesn't have a jumper how can it be reset? Ive tried backdoor passwords suggested for Phoenix Bios but none work. I appreciate your help.

As per site rules we cannot help you bypass any security measures. I can recommend calling Toshiba tech support or seeking help at a reputable computer shop. Removing the battery in more modern computers will rarely reset the password, just reset your settings and give you a Checksum error.
By the way, the jumpers on laptops are often just copper contacts not actual pins.

If your needing to reset the bios password then contact the manufacturer. You will have to provide all the info on the laptop and they can tell you the specific factory reset password for it.
