I have a honda civic '94. It was cotton soft at cold run and when the engine warms up especially at traffic it gets stiff and the biting point seems to be high. It gets worse when I use the A/C. Surely the solution was to bleed it and so I did it properly, but the problem stays. The clutch was just 3 years old normal driving. It seems getting air somewhere on the engine I'm just losing it help me.

The problem may be that you need to replace the slave cylinder or clutch master cylinder. It's usuallly best to replace both of them at the same time. After you think you have bleed all of the air from the system, remove the cap to the clutch master cylinder and use the "push back" technique on the slave cylinder. This will purge all remaining air from the system--it works incredibly well. It's best to change the fluid every 2 years, which eliminates moisture (corrosion) and keeps the seals properly lubricated.

Were the release arm pivot and ball, input shaft, and throw-out bearing's annular groove lubricated with Honda Super High Temp. Urea Grease? Ditto for the slave cylinder pushrod ball? If not, they may now be binding when hot.

Thank you so much for your reply. I will try this and see if it still duplicates the problem. Thanks again.
