I have a mounted volume attached to my c drive. I use this mounted volume for all my storage. Many weeks I noticed when I would go to delete a folder it would deny me access, says to make sure the disk isn't write protected. Five minutes later I would retry deleting the same object and it would. A couple of days ago it began to where nothing wll delete. Things delete just fine on my c drive and the files within the folder delte but every time, after restarting, it doesn't matter. I disabled the SAM in system services and made sure to add every possible user account to it before doing so. I'm about to try reformatting and reinstalling XP on my c drive. If anybody can shed some light this I woud greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Often this problem occurs when a program is reading or writing to the file. Depending on what you're using to mount the volume and what your msconfig looks like its difficult to tell. Also what kind of data are you trying to delete.
