Hi,

I am non U.S citizen and I`ve recently sent my W2,1040 and 8843 form.

Everything were correct including my SSN part, account no part, tax refund amount etc in my form 1040 except one thing in my form 8843.

I`ve just realized that somehow I wrote my SSN into Your US Tax Payer Identification Number(if any) part in my form 8843. My form 1040 is 100% correct.

Therefore, I was just worrying what I should do for this typo mistake? Should resent only the form 8843 again? If yes, there is sign part in this form. Should I sign it before sending again?

Thank you,

Heffer

Your SSN IS your tax ID#.

However, if you filed Form 1040 instead of Form 1040NR, then Form 8843 is NO LONGER NEEDED, because you are filing as a resident alien.

If you are under a F-1 visa and you arrived in the U.S. onor after 1 January 2010, you are a NON-resident alien, which means you SHOULD have filed Form 1040NR, NOT Form 1040.
