It was run approx 6 months ago. It will not start today.


Honda GX390 13 HP generator motor.

Fuel line is clear.


Removed carb and cleaned bowl which was pretty gummy.
Raised float and blew into fuel inlet and it was clear.


Put it back together and no hint of starting.


Check switch with ohm meter and that is working properly.


Not sure what to try next... advice appreciated.

Forgot to mention, oil level is full.

Remove air filter and spray a little carb cleaner in throat of carb.
If it starts for a second still fuel trouble , if not check for fire .

Searched YouTube and found a part in the carb I had not cleaned.
It was hidden inside a cylinder and had to use a small head screwdriver to get it out.

It was clogged... had it sit in apple cider vinegar overnight.
Next day blew the gunk out and put it back together.

Started 2nd crank.
