Buy a glass of apple cider and toast with that. Having a glass of alcohol does not make the day special. There's no need for alcohol, especially if he has to abstain for his job.

Or Ginger ale... if booze is THAT important its worth getting fired or going back to jail over... someone has a serious issue that needs dealing with.
