I'm just trying to see what's going on with me and if I should go to the ER or what... I missed my period in February. My last one was January 17th and when I was supposed to get mine in February, I only spotted a little... then today I started to spot. I haven't had any pain this time, but had a little the last time. I'm just wondering if I should go to the ER and be seen, if this could be my period coming late or what? I've had several miscarriages in the past and have 3 living children, my youngest is a twin but I lost her brother. Any advice on what I should do would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I would either try a home pregnancy test or contact your doctor to go in for a pregnancy test in the office. If you are pregnant, you'll obviously want to start prenatal care and they likely would do an ultrasound to get an idea of how far along you are. If you aren't pregnant, your doctor would want to try and determine why you've had a change in your cycles.

I've taken a couple of the home tests and they were negative, but I've gotten a negative result when pregnant before and found out that I was indeed pregnant when I got a blood test done... I'm just concerned that this could be another miscarriage cause I have a history of them. I'm not really bleeding yet though, just spotting so far.

It's not necessary to go to the ER for this as this is not an emergency and can wait until your doctors office is open in the morning. While pregnancy is a possibility, it is also possible there is a change in your periods.
