New chainsaw blade, but it stops rotating when I put it to the wood. What have I done wrong?

Check the angels of attack.

Those D*&N angels, they are as bad as the angles. If it bogs down, you may have a too aggressive pitch chain, assuming it was running at full speed before chain replacement. Make sure the chain isn't too tight and well lubricated.
