Had rain blow in through open roof (missed weather report) Water runs out from the baseboards in a bedroom. Can I dry the drywall by putting holes in top n bottom of area between studs and air them out? Or should I just pull the drywall down and start over? After the roof is fixed of course. Thanks in advance

Pull the bad out and replace. By the time you try and dry the inside, the drywall will have deteriorated and mold will set in.

Agree, you can't expect to dry it out enough to not have problems. Drywall is cheap and easy to work with as you are about to find out.

I agree with both advices above...

Best way of dealing with it is to cut the wet area out, leave the wall open for a week or two with fan blowing room temperature air on to the wet area ( no heated air ) , spray inside the wall with anti-fungus spray - and then install new drywall and baseboard.

It may be time consuming to do but 90% of that time is just waiting around
