Since India does not offer dual citizenship, what is the disadvantage of relinquishing Indian citizenship in order to obtain US citizenship through naturalization?

Those would be personal issues based on your own plans and goals. Do you plan to always reside in the US? Plans to return and live in India later? Business and property issues ?
