I have a 16 valve 95 honda civic automatic that will not start. I have tried jumping it and I bought new battery because it did start earlier when I jumped it, so took battery in and it was no good so bought new battery and now I gets no power at all. There's no ignition start up power of any kind no inside dome or dash lights come on. The only two things that are working is the brake lights when stepping on brake and the horn does honk strong. What could be the problem and what could be the cause of the problem? I must also add this is the first time the car have been turned on and driven since September of 2014, could that be a factor in my problem?

Did you blow a fuse or a link when you installed the new battery?

. Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multi-meter. You have likely blown one or more fuses.

. Clean battery terminals, cable connections, and grounds with abrasive cloth.

. Examine battery cables for signs of corrosion or hidden breaks.

Remember to always disconnect the negative battery cable first and connect it last.
