When my washer is running, I have water that comes out of the 2 part sewer main line clean out. If I flush the toilet, I see paper come out of one side of the clean out. I have used an auger for about 55 ft, and it ran clear for a few days, and constantly have to repeat process every other day or so. I have used the sewer bladder thing as well, same results, I have had the clean out from the house cleaned as well. Should I do the one from the roof?

Hi ANP

Doesn't sound like a vent issue to me (don't snake from roof). To me, it sounds like your main drain line is broken or roots have infiltrated and continue to cause problems for you! I hate to suggest it, but at this point you may be best to call in a plumber with a drain video-scope and have them inspect/camera the drain line so you know what is going on AND exactly where the problem is!

However, first, call your local town/city sewer department... in many cases, the town/city may be able to help either snake the drain and/or camera the drain free of charge if you can wait for a time that is convenient for them!

Back to you.

55' may seem like a lot but my sewer line runs 110'. It does sound like a main blockage, how old is the home and where. My city won't do any help on private property but it cant hurt to ask.
