I get no hot water at kitchen sink unless I turn on the water at another sink and let it run?

Then the kitchen sink runs VERY hot? House 35 years old and recently gutted and rebuilt by a contractor.

Ask that contractor who his plumbing sub was and invite him for a visit. I am asssuming this has been screwed up since day one. Call the contractor and explain the problem.

Bal's correct. Along with the remodel you should have got a warranty. It's the contractors responsibility to correct the mistake that the plumber made in repiping the house. Good luck, Tom

Some builders are jerks but not all, especially after your check has cleared. Ask a reputable plumber for an estimate, you might get lucky. Tell the "jerk" you are thinking of filing a mechanics lien and see if he response better.

A customer can not file a mechanic's lien. But a call to the bbb gets results.
