Hi, doc I'm 24 years old married girl, it's the 11th month of my marriage, I conceived in the very first month but unfortunately I had miscarried just after 10 weeks and had DNC. Till then I'm trying to get pregnant but having problem in it. My OB gyne suggested me the hormonal test but I could not understand its result. Please explain me the report and help me to find out the actual reason of infertility. I had test on day 2 of my periods.

According to the test report :
T3 : 0.7 ng/mL
T4 : 5.2 ng/dL
TSH : 1.0 mIU/mL
LH : 4.8 IU/L
FSH : 8.6IU/L
Prolactin : 5.6ng/mL
Progesterone : 1.5 ng/mL
Testosterone : 0.2ng/mL

My ultrasound reports are normal. My menstrual cycle is of about 31-32 days and last time I had periods on 2nd January, 2015 and 1st February, 2015. I am using Clomid and Ovafin from last three months in 2-7 days of menstruation, but I have not conceived yet. Now my doc has suggested me DDC test, please tell me what is this and why I should have this test done?

I'm very stressed please guide me and do answer my query soon.

First it is seldom you can and will get pregnant first month, A healthy couple, can take over a year often to conceive. So taking away the time for miscarriage you are not really having any trouble, just really about normal.

The questions is what are you doing, to conceive? Are you testing for ovulatoin, by basal temp or some other method? Not just charts. Is sex being timed properly to be a few days prior to ovulation?

Is husband refraining from sex when not in good time, not using tight underwear, not using hot tub near sex times and the100's of other small things

Married only 11 months and you are very stressed? Only 24? Maybe that's part of the problem. Relax, follow some of FR. Chucks tips. At this point I would not be concerned about "the actual reason of infertility".

Are you taking both Clomid and Ovafin at the same time or have you just tried both over the last three months? What reason was determined to start you on them? What testing was done prior to being prescribed the medication? Has ovulation been monitored while taking the medications to determine if you are indeed ovulating? Are you taking any other medications on a regular basis?

I would make another appointment with your doctor so that he can go over more information with you.
