I have a Gas dryer model 110.97584120. Once on it runs through the cyle, then stops when the timer reahes the off section, however you can still hear something ticking, and the buzzer continues to go off. The timer seems to continue to move and then the dryer will go on again on its' own, unless you open the door, then it stops, if you close the door again, it automatically starts as long as the timer is in a dry cyle setting. It the timer or the Push to start button?

Try this, open the headboard to gain access to the start switch and remove one of the two wires. It will tell you if the switch is badand causing your problem. Now if it's a start relay, which they sometimes use, then it'll be harder to diagnose here. There is also an electronic Control board on your machine and without a wiring diagram it is tough to diagnose.
