My neighbor is unwilling to do anything about it and, I believe, thinks I am some crazy person to be disturbed by this high pitched noise that invades my home. Their dryer is across the street, directly across from my bedroom window and living room. When there is a lull in traffic or ambient sound, the high pitched dryer noise is heard quite clearly. Ear plugs have no effect. It is like I have tinnitus! I believe the sound is carried and amplified across the concrete street and sidewalk into my home.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how was it solved? I am considering just offering to buy them a new dryer. What brands are the quietest?
