HI I wanted to some advice any would help. I have been going to this therapist for a couple of years now. I have seen other therapy who I said I don't need therapy every week or even once a month. Anyway this therapist I feel is doing it for money. If I tell I cant go that week for some reason or cancel 24 hours before she starts bullying me with owing her money etc. Starts a lot of texts to my phone. Last week she told me the cops would come get me etc and I would get arrested .I cant go every week I don't have the money. I think this therapsit clearly does not know boundaries. I also don't feel like I need to go every week . Would like to know what you think of this situation. ANy help would be helpful thanks

Hi she works from home she is her own boss. That's why I have to call and text her with appointments.

Stop calling and/or texting.

You are aware you have to pay for PAST services. Work out a deal with her, but forget any more appointments that add to the bill.

Sound fair?

Thank you I have paid past services her issue is if I cant go and I give 24 hours or more she still is going to charge me. Last week I told her before 24 hours that I cant come this week will come next week. I didn't even make an appointment with her that week
I feel like she wants to push me into going every week and manipulates the situation when I cant

If you owe her nothing, then stop all contact with a letter saying her services are no longer needed or wanted, and stop harassing you, or YOU will call the police!

Simply stop all contact with her. Block her number. Problem solved.

How about this thought, send her a certified letter explaining that you are terminating her services. Make it short and to the point. If she continues to make threats about the police, contact the board that governs her license (she is licensed, isn't she?) and make a complaint. Keep any texts and messages that she leaves as evidence of her behavior. Do not respond to her.

Make certain you have copies of all of the payments you have made to her.
