My Mom had a brain tumor when she gave birth to me and had to have brain surgery about 8 years after I was born. Currently I am showing some of the same symptoms that she had when she realized that she had a problem. Some of my main symptoms are a lot of time slurred speech, head aches, stuttering, affected thoughts (irrational), etc. Do I have to worry about getting an MRI just to be safe or what would be the right thing to do here?

No, you are worried about a brain tumor, so go to your doctor for an evaluation and possibly get that MRI (they're painless).

Before jumping to thoughts of brain tumors, a few questions:
How long have you had these symptoms? Did they start before or after you started the job in January? Did they get worse after you started work? https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/job-hunting/have-factory-job-hate-what-should-do-807234.html
Are you still working at the factory job?
If so, is it still stressing you out because you hate it?
If not, are you still looking for a new job or have you started a new one? If there is a new job, is it a better match than the last?
Have you gone back to school?
Are there other factors that might be affecting your health? Other stresses? Irregular sleeping habits? Diet issues? Family/friend/significant other issues? Bills? Known health issues? Stressing about the thought of brain tumors?
Look at what else is going on in your life. Look at the factors that could be having a negative affect on your body, mind, and emotional state. See if there are ways of working them out. If you are stressed, how are you attempting to cope with the stress? Is it effective or is it adding to the issues?
If nothing more than helping you calm your fears, get a check-up. Talk to the doctor about your family's medical history and your fear. Find out what the doctor suggests.
I would also like to add that brain rumors are rarely genetic in nature.

And why when you were 8, did you have brain surgery, not a normal or common thing?
But I agree, your moms illness may or should have little to do, with yours (given the small amount of info provided)
What you do, go to doctor for a complete exam. And not try to determine your own illness.
Chuck, the OPs mother had a brain tumor and surgery, not the OP.
