It had follow the instructions on how to restart the furnace, but it won't light up.

What happens when the thermostat calls for heat? Does this have an inducer fan? How old? Pilot light? We need a lot more info.

Sophie, can you please expain exactly what the furnace does when you turn up the thermostat? It would be best to have someone else turn up the stat while you are in front of the heater, with the front door removed. Also, an actual model number (located on a sticker in the burner compartment) might allow us to look up the furnace & help you better.
