My parents gave up on the permanent residence(Green Card) status and moved away from the USA. Taking me as a child of 13 years old with them. We lived in the United States for 8 years. It's been 9 years since we have left the United States. I am 22 years old now and would like to somehow return to the United States to live and work. I have finished 7 grades of school in the United States and continued the rest of my schooling here in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I know about the SB-1 Returning Resident Visa, I also have all of my report cards, elementary school diploma and my Green Card as well as my social security number. I have finally made enough money to fight for my Green Card re-approval. So what are my chances of getting a SB-1 Returning Resident Visa?

You will require a new immigrant visa to enter the United States and resume permanent residency. Apply at the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate for a Returning Resident (SB-1) immigrant visa. They can better tell you the possibilities.

There is pretty much no way you will get SB-1. You have stayed out for way too many years, you did not maintain a residence in the U.S. that you intended to return to, and you were not prevented from returning within 1 year due to circumstances beyond your control. For the purposes of SB-1, as a child, your parents' intent is considered your intent.
