I have a Kenmore dishwasher, model #665.17779990. Over a year ago the lock light would come on and I had to reset the dishwasher and cleaned terminals at control board. I had to do this several times in the next couples months. At one point during this it blew the thermal fuse. I replaced the fuse and the wires that came with it with OEM parts. It worked for several months, finally I had to replace the control board. I used the remanufactured board. I worked fine for about 3½ months, then it blew the thermal fuse again. I replaced the fuse but did not change the wires a second time. It lasted about a week and has blown the fuse again. These last two times that it blew the fuse I believe it was during the rinse cycle as the soap dispenser was open and the detergent gone. The dishes look clean but there is still water in the bottom below the level of the heating element. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You will have to go to work with the meter and trace out the wires until you find the wire(s) that are shorted or grounded. I am not familiar with that model number, so I will send you some manuals that will help you out, but you will need a good digital multimeter to find the problem. With some problems almost any meter will work, but with this type of problem you need a good digital clamp multimeter because with it you can test the amperage and on the "ohm" function it is much more sensitive than a regular analog meter. What you need is a Commercial Electric Digital Clamp Meter at $42.38 at Home Depot. (See: Commercial Electric Digital Clamp Meter-MS2002 - The Home Depot (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-Digital-Clamp-Meter-MS2002/205620397?N=5yc1vZboff) ) There are more expensive meters like the Klein Tools 600 Amp AC Digital Clamp Meter with Temp for $59.97 that has the advantage of having a digital thermometer and a case(See: Klein Tools 600 Amp AC Digital Clamp Meter with Temp-CL200 - The Home Depot (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Klein-Tools-600-Amp-AC-Digital-Clamp-Meter-with-Temp-CL200/202521277?N=5yc1vZboff)). I hope this helps. Please let us know what you find as you may be able to help someone else. You should also check YouTube because chances are good that someone else has posted a fix. I know at least two videos are posted about the thermal fuse because I watched them.
