We can't get it to stay on and it isn't the thermocouple. We'd still like to know where to get a manual and parts for the Sears 600, model no. 867/73572. HELP, please.

If I knew what it was I may have one. What is it? Lawnmower, weed eater, stove?

Here is a manual that will help with the gas: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8010163/Whirlpool%20G-17%20Gas%20Basics%20-%20Dryer%20and%20Range%20Burners%20Service%20Manua l.pdf

You may be able to buy a manual on one of the parts web sites, but the above manuals address everything you need to know except checking the heat exchanger. You definitely want to check the heat exchanger with a "smoke bomb" tester and have a carbon monoxide detector close to the heater, but 36" away from it and a bathroom door.
