Here lately my periods are progressively getting worse. I just got off my 8 days period on the 28th of December and started again today. I've never had a period that produces this much blood. I've gone through 7 tampons today alone.

Why is this happening?

I've had two previous Pap smears done (1 was about 4 years ago and the other a little over a year ago) both doctors said I showed cancerous cells in both results... I'm not sure if this could be related to my period problems.

Was anything done to follow-up on the previous results of your pap smears? There can be a number of reasons for cycles becoming irregular and having a change in the amount of bleeding that you experience. It would be wise to contact your gyn tomorrow and see about setting up an appointment.

I haven't. Since I had the Pap smear I am no longer covered under the insurance I was on. And don't qualify for Medicaid. I've tried to make an appointment with doctors to have tests ran but they all want me to pay up front. Which I can not afford the couple hundred dollars up front.. I'm a young single mom.

You really have little choice but to make it an option. Contact your doctor and ask about payment plans or perhaps a sliding scale based on your income. Many will work with you on it. Check out your local health department or planned parenthood. If you attend a church, check there as many will have the means to help out in such situations. Another option is to borrow from family or friends, or slowly start putting some money aside if you have to. You owe it to your child(ren) to take care of your health.

You might have to make several phone calls or do some leg work, but you should be able to get something figured out. It is too important not to.

What state? Most have free women clinics.
