I hurt me self last night went to the hospital thought I broke me leg turns out I've torn me Achilles tendon 2.5cm friggin hurts. Don't really know what that means have to see a surgeon and wear this boot thing. Anyway I tried looking it up but don't really understand just wanted to know what is that tendon and is tearing it bad I'd ask me dad but he's kind of pissed off at me and the doctors don't tell me anything.

Yes, a tendon tear can hurt more than a bone break. And healing isn't so easy because you can't just reattach it. And some people scar more than others, so scar tissue can form, and that can hurt. And you can't just do surgery to remove the scarring, because surgery can create more scar tissue.

You absolutely must follow all the directions you were given for the boot, rest, walking, soaking in warm tubs, whatever you were told.
I don't know what you were given for pain. I take both Tylenol and ibuprofin for chronic pain of 35+ years.

Google Achilles tendon for pictures.
