I am a guy in my late 40's and having trouble with dry skin from my neck all the way down to my feet.. Ughhh.. I have been through all the "men's" lotions already and none have provided the relief that I am looking for... So I guess I will start on the "women's" body lotions to see if there is a winner there... A question for the ladies, can you please share which lotion you would recommend? Now, I am not concerned about if it is scented or not, as long as it softens my skin...

Gold Bond. There's even a line for men. My doctor and pharmacist highly recommend Gold Bond. I use it daily with great success. It absorbs quickly and is non-greasy.

What did you think? Ask your druggist for input. He had suggested to me an OTC brand called Remedy, too.

I have to take care of senior skin on my clients, so I recommend coconut oil which comes in a semi hard form in a jar and when applied turns into a light oil. It lasts far longer then lotions and can be purchased in health food stores, not very expensive, depending of course, where you live.
A good quality olive oil is also recommended.
For best results, you should apply after a shower every day until the benefits build up to relieve extreme dry skin.
I use coconut oil myself, especially in the summer. And no, there is no oily residue from the coconut oil.
