Having a good pack structure reduces such problems. The dogs see all the
People and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in
The pack and a top dog. Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members
Outrank the 4 legged ones. You can learn to play the role of top dog by
Reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class
Or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with
A treat. Start at http://www.dogsbestfriend.com/. She thinks she is a big girl now, and is challenging for leadership. One of the first steps to reeducate her in her place is to forbid her to be on the bed. In general, I view allowing the dog to sleep with you a matter of personal taste, except in cases like this where the dog is confused about its status. Pugs take themselves very seriously. You need to take her seriously too.

I would also have her spayed at once. Her hormones are flowing, perhaps leading to all sorts of behavior problems. Spaying while in season is much more difficult, and the vets avoid it if they can. Do it now, before you have to go through the mess and hassle of her season. Since you are having behavioral problems with her, please rethink any plans you may had to breed her. Spaying will also reduce chances of cancer and other problems later in life. If she comes into season before you have her spayed, watch her very carefully. You would not believe the strenuous, creative efforts to get loose and go seek a male.

Use a crate to keep her off the bed when you can't watch her. If she has not been crate trained, let me know, and I will post some help for that.

Thank you for your information. I think that this will be quite helpful. She will also be going to the vet this week to get spayed. I am keeping my bedroom door close in the mean time. When she has peed on my bed I was not in the room. Other than that she is quite a joy to be around. She is so comical. :)
