My son has gone on some sort of website (I'm pretty sure I know what kind :/ ) and now our laptop (Dell Inspiron Windows 7) is infected with the ICE virus - it is completely locked. Does anyone have any first hand experience with removing it? If so, is it something I can do on my own, or is this a 'professional should really do it' kind of situation?

Assuming your installed anti-virus didn't completely get it, then a system restore often negates the problem.

Thanks Curlyben - I've done some research and there are quite a few 'how to's' on line on how to remove it. I'll give it a whirl I suppose. Can't get any worse!
