So I have known this girls since we were in 1st grade. We'll call her Amy. Me and Amy have been great friends for years. We text frequently and see each other weekly at least. We have always told each other everything, whether it be boy problems, problems with other girls or even family issues, we always keep each other updated. We have many of the same hobbies and interests. I have always considered her my best friend and whenever someone asks me who my best friend is, I instantly tell them "Amy of course". But recently she found a new love interest. We'll call him john. John made her so happy it was adorable. I was so glad when I saw them together and most of our conversations were of him. The other day we were texting and she told me that I would finally get the chance to meet john on Saturday. I replied saying that I was so excited that he got to meet her best friend. She then replied saying hahah you... you're totally my best friend... " Which really hurt. I expressed to her saying "wow. That Hurt. Like a lot." She proceeded to say "Just kidding you're kind of great." Which I felt like she didn't mean. Am I over reacting? She has been my rock for years. When ever I need help I always turn to her first and I couldn't lose her. Thank you for listening to my rant.

I don't get the problem. She said you were her best friend so what's the hurt about or was this a typo?
