Hey :3 I got my first period of August 13! And I got it yesterday witch was perfecly fine. But when I woke up this morning, IT WAS SOOO HEAVY. THE WHOLE TOILET WAS DARK RED AND MY PAD WAS FULLL!! I have soft ball practise and I don't want to go. Im only 12 and I'm so scared. Im so scared I won't use the bathroom. Is there a way to lighten my period. Its like I'm peeing blood. Only my mom knows I got it but I'm shy about that kind of stuff. And I'm NOT going to see a doctor. NO WAY. Plus, I will be in the city all day because I have to watch my sister so I just feel like crying so much!! And will my family know I'm on my period. Please help!!

It is not uncommon for you to notice a larger amount of blood when you first get up, because gravity will now help it flow out more after you had been lying down all night. The flow will usually slow down after you have been up for awhile.
You can bring extra pads with you to keep in your bag when you go to practice.
It's hard when you first start your periods because it is all so new, and it can take some time for your body to get into a regular pattern. You might have regular periods from now on, or you may skip some here and there for awhile. It is always a good idea to have a pad or two in a purse, backpack, etc. so that you can always be confident that you are prepared. It does get easier after while, I promise!
