doomed to win

I am really scared and confused right now.
See I have some kind of genital infection, but I've never even had sex. I'm 14. I have these littlle tiny tiny "goosebumps" on my penis. When its not erect, they are not even noticeable, and when it is erect, they are like goosebumps. They are normal color, don't hurt or anything like that. I noticed that it kind of itches some time, but I don't know what it is. Nothing else is strange about it. Can You please help me? I can't tell my parents because they'll probably think that I am some kind of a freak - I mean who gets an infection when being 14 without having sex. They won't believe me. Trust me. Just trust me, I know them too well.
Please help me, I don't know what to do! I will answer all the questions you ask me, as long as you can help me! Please!

Hi,
There is another name, sometimes, for these, called the "ping pong" effect... but this comes after sex with someone with the same thing. It is cured by medicine from a doctor.
If these goose bumps do not go away in a little while, say in about 4 weeks, I suggest you see a doctor, even though you say you haven't had sex.
It could be something else.
You will have to tell your parents, and ask them to take you to a doctor.
I wish you the best,
fredg
PS; The doctor will know what caused them, and can explain it to your parents; that would remove all doubt that you haven't had sex, which would then convince your parents that you haven't.

And fredg - I've had them for like a year and a half.

Hey doomed to win,
They could be hair follicles, which are harmless. Since you have had them for a long time and there hasn't been any change in size, color, pain etc. they probably aren't serious. (probably). But without a medical exam there is no way to be sure. You can continue to monitor them or take Fredg's advice. You may find your parents more understanding than you think when it comes to your health.

I've had them all my life since birth, and I'm 21! I don't think it's a bad thing at all. But mine never itched so just get it checked out by the doctor your going to have to tell your parents since they'll find out someday.

Hello. First, the other replies may very well be correct. However, considering your age, and the description of your problem ("goosebumps") I'd say that you more than likely have "Fordyce's spots", which is benign. Check out this page for more information (it also has pictures of a typical penis with Fordyce's spots). Fordyce's spot: Definition from Answers.com (http://www.answers.com/topic/fordyce-s-spots)
Or there is a possibility of having another benign problem, "Sebaceous Hyperplasia". Although, again, considering your age I'd say it's probably Fordyce's spots. Hope this helps.
