Just brought home a new lab puppy.
He is gagging, and swallows hard. He wants to run outside and eat all the grass which makes him vomit.
He was just fixed the day before yesterday and I'm wondering if the tube irritated his throat.
I'm taking him to the vet today, but I'm so discouraged because I'm already in love with this puppy.

Why be discouraged, you can still love your puppy. Yes, probably the tube irritated his throat. Don't be alarmed that he is eating grass, that is a tonic for dogs. It is good you are taking him back to the vet, better be safe then sorry that you didn't take him.

You're discouraged because you love the pup? I don't get that. He was neutered, he's now eating grass and vomiting, likely because his tummy is upset. He had surgery, it's like surgery for a human, you don't just wake up feeling great, it hurts, it's uncomfortable, and it will take time before he feels better.
Why would you be discouraged? Take him to the vet, let the vet look him over. It's like just a tummy upset either from the surgery, the pain meds given after surgery, etc. He's not dying, he's puking!
Also, why discouraged? Worried would be a better thing to feel, but discouraged? Is this you first dog? Do you know anything about dogs at all or did you just get one on a whim?
