My period is late so I took a pregnancy test and it was negative but I have no signs of my period coming and have a lot of symptoms of pregnancy

3 days is meaningless.

Yes, three days is meaningless for sure. The pregnancy symptoms would not appear this early. Even at times when you do a pregnancy test, at the right time, maybe another month, it will sow negative because your pregnancy hormones have not kicked in to indicate a pregnancy. You will have to wait another 28 days, and test with first morning urine to be anywhere near accurate.

HPTs are generally less than 50% accurate during the first week after a missed period. Unless you are extremely regular, its hard to pinpoint when your period is due.

So basically wait another week or so.

Some pregnancy symptoms can start early for many women; sometimes even before a period is due. Many women will feel as though their period is about to start, as some of the symptoms can be similar. It can depend on when ovulation and implantation happens to occur. Along with how sensitive a woman may be to the shift in hormones.

However, periods can be off now and then, so give it some more time to see if your period is just late. If still no period shows, and you continue to experience possible pregnancy symptoms, either try another test (following the directions carefully), or see your doctor for a test in office.

I will have to agree with the others, most women are off 3 days or more, every once in a while. You really need to be about two week late, to even start testing. ** Although a positive test now, will be positive, but false negative are common.

So just wait another couple week and test again. Signs can be signs for many things, even just a late period.
