Hi everyone,
My dishwasher, a Kitchenaid KUDS24SEBL2 recently had the water inlet valve go, as it was slowly filling with water when the unit was off.
I researched, purchased and installed the correct part, and everything seemed to be going fine. Three weeks later, and unfortunately my tenants are now saying that the hot water line (which shares a connection with the dishwasher) is pouring out hot soapy, dirty water after the dishwasher has run.
Does this make sense? Could I have installed the water inlet valve incorrectly so that the dirty water is backing up into the sink? Or could the part have failed this quickly into its installation?
Everything I've read suggests that the solenoid valve should prevent back flow and that the dirty water is put into a pump and drained from the dishwasher anyhow, so this shouldn't happen.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
