My wife drives to the Wal-Mart gets done hops in car and it won't budge. I check it out it starts up normal everything sounds normal when I shift it into drive reverse etc. no strange noises and you can feel it go into gear but when I let off brake it doesn't move. When I place it in drive it feels like it wants to move but is stopped. If I apply the gas it moves but sound and feels like if you were trying to drive with the e brake on. Checked all fluids and check the e brake everything normal. Have had some grinding when braking so know the brakes are bad supposed to take it in next week. Any advice? Thanks so much.

Try adjusting the emergency brake and check for any stuck brake calipers. If the problem persists, it may be a problem with the transmission's torque converter and pump. Then, you would be likely looking at a rebuild or replacement situation.
