Please advise me I had repair man come out to look at my unit because my wall aroung unit was getting hot and even with switch on themostat off I still heard humming or buzzing sound the only way to stop it was to cut it off at breaker switch. I finally got $ to get repair man out and he said my system was wired wrong and I needed a new thermostat but my system has worked fine for several years so I didn't understand why the man said it wasn't wireed correctly.. now the electronic thermostat is reading aux heat on but I have no heat comeing out of vents... my system in a in/out door unit coleman 3500a816/nordyne date stamp 1993... please help if you can I am a single mom... thanks

If the repair man said you need a new thermostat he might just know what he is doing. Did your replace the original thermostat with a electronic one?

I had heat before he did the work the only thing was the wall got hot and I could hear buzzing sound and he said heat strips didn't turn off because it was wired wrong but it has always worked in past wired the way it was just since jan has the wall gotten hot and I had to cut it off at breaker to get the buzzing to stop and wall to cool off... it still is getting hot just not as hot

It is almost impossible to advise under this situation. I recommend you call the furnace man back and have him look into your situation.
